Join us at HumanKind’s Lynchburg Early Head Start campus for a hands-on, heart-forward volunteer opportunity! Volunteers will help pack $35 to $40 worth of fresh produce in bags from the 1600 pounds of produce that we receive for Early Head Start families. This is all in effort to make nutritious food easier to access and empowering families to feel confident picking up items that will support them at home.
We’ll meet outside at 1200 Fenwick Drive from 12–2 PM. Snacks will be provided — just be sure to dress appropriately for the weather! Please note, due to child protection policies, volunteers will not be able to enter the building.
This opportunity does require lifting, but we can have a volunteer dedicated to be done in a chair if needed!
Please meet at the door closest to the parking lot in the back! You will be asking for Ashley Nowell and she will guide you on your tasks!
